    Introducing to UCAS Tracker - your new data dashboard

    Updated daily, UCAS Tracker is here to replace and re-invent Application and Decision Tracker, offering more detailed analysis options, and providing an enhanced perspective of UCAS’ data through a new and improved interface. 

    UCAS Tracker (enhanced) introduces cutting-edge features, enabling you to enhance your insights with capabilities such as benchmarking against tariff groups, better understanding your position in the days running up to deadlines, and exploring what might be driving changes in your data.

    The daily updates and visual appeal of UCAS Tracker have been a huge benefit this year, with us being able to report on numerous metrics which provide key insight to the department, faculties and executive.

    All you need to know about UCAS Tracker

    On every page of UCAS Tracker enhanced, you can choose to focus on the Application numbers or look at different Decision or Reply statuses by using the ‘Show me…’ filter on the left.
     

    You can use the Glossary to find all the definitions of the included data.

    We have introduced three new cycle comparison options to focus your view:

    • Date comparison – compares today’s date in the current cycle with the same date in the selected previous cycle.
    • Days from Equal Consideration Deadline - compares your position for the number of days before or since the January deadline, with the same time away from the deadline in previous cycles.

    For example, if it is 10 days before the deadline this cycle, it will compare with 10 days before the same deadline in previous cycles. While this feature is useful early in the cycle, we recommend not relying too heavily on it until a few weeks before the deadline. This is because the figures can be affected by things such as moving the January deadline and application behaviours around Christmas.

    • Days from June deadline comparison – as for the Equal Consideration Deadline but focusing on the UCAS main scheme deadline in June.

    The data underlying every table or chart can be exported to CSV format. Find out how to do this in the How to export data guide:

    UCAS Tracker enhanced has a ‘Filters’ page that is being developed. This can be used to narrow down data on all the enhanced pages based on your chosen criteria. A text box on each page will show you if any filters are applied.
