Hi there! I have just finished my second year in Primary Education. I am looking forward to my first teaching post after finishing the degree! I commute to university every day and spend my spare time tutoring students for their GCSEs! I have an interest in reading and travelling. I aspire to teach abroad and learn more teaching approaches as I go along. The experiences I have already received from this course are amazing and make me feel so excited to have my own class to teach! Biomedical Science | MSc

Hi! My name is Fareha khalid, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Biomedical Science at Leeds Beckett University. My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology, during which I developed a deep passion for research in molecular biology and drug discovery. One of my most exciting achievements was publishing research on drug repurposing for tuberculosis treatment, which strengthened my drive to contribute to global healthcare advancements.

Beyond academics, I’m a Global Ambassador and Postgraduate Representative, actively engaging with diverse student communities and supporting others in their academic and personal journeys. I’m also a former trainee in various pathology labs, where I gained hands-on experience in hematology, microbiology, and histopathology.

Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue a PhD focusing on biomedical innovation, particularly in tackling age-related diseases and zoonotic infections. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between research and clinical applications to improve healthcare outcomes globally.

As an English and Creative Writing student, I am passionate about becoming a screenwriter. My dream is to work for a video game company, like Riot Games or Bethesda, and help adapt their games into a television show; the new show Fallout is a wonderful example of this. I am also currently writing my creative final project as my own original screenplay based on the humour of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I am constantly in the middle of reading numerous books but these are some of my favourites: Brave New World, The Witcher series, Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Some of my favourite video games: Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Dragon Age, League of Legends, etc. Some of my favourite manga/anime: Sakamoto Days, Spy x Family, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan.
