Nadim
SOAS
Law LLB
Hey all - My name is Nadim, and I'm an LLB Law finalist (Undergrad).
Hobbies aside, I intend to eventually qualify under the SRA through the SQE down the line as an Employment Solicitor (or in insolvency/debt recovery), but plan to take a gap to gather some Legal work experience. Speaking of... the SOAS Legal clinic, Law society, and careers team have been incredible in helping me secure some Legal volunteering experience!
As a final year, I'd definitely recommend that you put yourself out there by applying to Campus Rep jobs/on-campus promotional positions, society committees, volunteering opportunities etc., even if you're not the most social person; trust me, it'll be fun and worth it, you'll make friends with great people you'd otherwise never have met. That, and it's always nice to have some money in your pocket.
Shout out to upReach, AspiringSolicitors, Bright Network and FutureCityLawyers!
P.s. Also a transferee (transferred from another University in London to SOAS), so please, don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries relating as such (or anything relevant to the above).
