Course summary

Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics provides an exciting mix of research and teaching. Our staff make significant contributions to the field in research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Research is undertaken within four main groups:

Biomedical Engineering
Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering
Innovative Engineering Design
Surface Engineering and Tribology
Within these groups, smaller specialised research sub-groups operate.

This course has a subject classification which requires students whose nationality is outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to have an ATAS certificate, irrespective of country of residence at the point of application.
