I am currently in my fourth year of my undergraduate studies at the University of Reading, having recently returned from a placement. 
I am pursuing a degree in International Business and Management at Henley Business School and work part-time as a Student Ambassador. 
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I relocated to Nigeria at the age of seven, and  completed my final two years of high school in the Netherlands. I am a huge fan Chelsea FC,  and enjoy playing basketball, volunteering, and exploring new destinations. After completing university, my plan is to enrol in a business management graduate scheme in London.

Undergraduate Business Studies

I didn't have much of an idea as to what to do when I first entered university and it can be hard to discover your own path when so many people around you are lauding what they think is the best thing to do. My advice to you all is to try every opportunity that is presented to you. You can drop that which is uninteresting to you, but often you can never again pick up an opportunity that passes you by. Remember that a university degree is not important because of what it teaches you, but because of what kind of person it makes you, so if you ever find yourself debating whether to be a room hermit and do nothing but work or to get out there and make the most of everything available to you, just keep this question in mind: "What will I remember in 10 years' time?" or for the careers orientated amongst you, "What will I be able to talk about in an interview?". Let's face it, your work will probably be uninteresting to employers and to your future self, but if you want to make university something special, there are resources out there that can make it so and I will happily introduce you to them. Personally, I have been around Australia, attended defence conferences in Sicily, done military exercises in Scotland and on the Channel, worked with charities and have done too many extra courses and practical activities too count, all of which precious few people ever know about. I have always been ambitious and striving for better and always wanted to start my own business. Which is the reason I have started reading business literature 15 years ago. However, I have realized that I would need something in addition to become a successful entrepreneur. And this is the reason I came to the tipping point of my life and decided to become a Business Enterprise student. After I have conducted quite a broad reasearch I choose UCB, and this happen to be the best decision I have ever made in my life. The support from the University and the teachers is outstanding.

I was born and raised in Nigeria and joined UWE early 2023. I will admit I waited till the last minute to decide to pursue software engineering as a degree, but I do believe I made the right decision. My passion for coding and software development is growing by the day and I cannot wait to apply my abilities in the real world. That’s not to say I don’t suffer from imposter syndrome occasionally, but I do think being in the right environment has really helped change my mindset and attitude.

Hi, I'm Matilda. Before starting my Real Estate degree at the University of Reading, I studied A-levels in Art, Geography and Physics. I also completed an EPQ titled 'can zero carbon housing ever really exist over the entirety of the UK' as I have always been interested in sustainability. After university I plan to become a rural surveyor in Cambridge. Outside of studies I enjoy taking part in lots of sports including horse riding and sailing and I am part of the lacrosse society.
