My name is Daisy. I'm on my 4th year now at Coventry University studying Communication, Culture and Media. I have loved my time here, and it's been so refreshing existing in such a welcoming space as a trans woman.

For my future plans, my aim is to smash my masters and then move to the Netherlands to study a PhD focusing on gender in esports. Exciting stuff!!

Hi! I'm really interested in the history of American music and how it has shaped, and been shaped by, American culture over time. I also love twentieth century and modern American literature. I started at UEA when I was 22 and I'm so happy I made the decision to come to UEA as a mature student, I'm loving my course and spent a semester studying at a college in Vermont this year! Norwich is a great city and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about living here!

Hey there! I'm a second-year undergraduate student in Adult Nursing (BN) at Bangor! Before coming to Bangor, I worked in community domiciliary home care, then moved into emergency and critical care. After graduation, I'm hoping to work my way towards a postgraduate master's in Advanced Clinical Practice in Emergency Medicine!

Outside of university, I'm learning tennis (slowly), an on-and-off gym-goer, and an avid consumer of chocolate. I enjoy Netflix dramas, especially medical ones, and Star Wars, but am also interested in Computer Science.

I am a race marshal at Oulton Park race track and have joined the Tennis team at Coventry University. I am a Christian and go to Christian union meetings and Hillfields church. To relax i enjoy watching films, TV and playing video games.

Once I graduate from university, I want to be a film writer / director as I have always dreamed of watching a film and one day seeing my name at the end of the credits. Once I leave university, I will most likely get a job in the film industry and try to work my way up to a position where I can have creative control whilst also making my own films on the side.

Physics with Astrophysics [BSc/MSci]

I am currently in my penultimate year of the Physics with Astrophysics MSci program at the University of Glasgow. Additionally, I served as a class representative for both Physics 2 and Physics 3, which helped me gain confidence in representing others—something I am passionate about and plan to continue in the future. I also occasionally participate in debates at the GU Union and am active on social media, particularly regarding political issues. Furthermore, I am the Publicist for both the GU Physics Society and the UofG Liberals, where I also serve as Treasurer.

Adventure Filmmaking (BA)

As well as my studies I run a business in manufacturing. I self taught photography over a number of years around work and eventually decided that I wanted to learn filmmaking skills as well, so I applied for the adventure filmmaking course on a part time basis. 

Over my time on the course I have learnt a lot of valuable filmmaking skills but it has also reinforced and developed my passion for photography. The adventure side of the course also helps me develop as a leader and educator in the outdoors.

Using all of the skills I have learnt so far and continue to learn on the course I would love to one day lead photography and filmmaking workshops in the UK and abroad.

Hi, I’m Daniel. I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering masters student. I undertook a placement year between my 3rd & 4th years at university. I worked in Research and Development at a coffee company called Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE). This placement year massively helped me in terms of personal and professional development. I would love to answer any questions that you may have on completing a placement year and I can share more on my own experience.

I love cooking and making things, going on walks in the countryside, and listening to music. 
After my 2nd year, I took part in a 4-week ‘sustainability & culture’ exchange programme in Malaysia, staying at Sunway University. I had an incredible time learning about everything Malaysian, travelling in my free time, and meeting so many wonderful people. It was truly a life changing experience.

Hi! I’m 2nd year studying a joint honours in Management and Philosophy, having changed from a senior honours in Economics! I have taken modules in Business Law, Entrepreneurship , Marketing, HR, Finance, Maths, Economics, Operations etc. I volunteer with scouts and am in the Army OTC! I also am a part of Hare and Hounds, Tennis, Tri and Mountaineering. I am Treasurer of the Walking Club, VP of the Business Soc and Captain of the Orienteering and Fell Running Club. Happy, thoughtful, mad and passionate would be the 4 words to describe me!  I am also a proud NGO secretary which has led me to speak as a delegate at 2 UN Commissions. I developed my inter personal and problem solving skills as Philosophy Rep partaking in a subject periodic review.

I am an international student from Canada pursuing my MSc in Physiotherapy at LBU.  I have a strong passion for being active and spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, cycling, or simply enjoying nature. Cooking is another of my interests, and I love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I also value meaningful conversations and enjoy connecting with others, making new friends, and exchanging ideas.

In terms of my career goals, I’m excited to pursue a future as a physiotherapist in the UK, where I can apply my skills and contribute to improving people’s health and mobility. I’m also considering the possibility of returning to Canada in the future to continue my practice, and I have a long-term aspiration of opening my own physiotherapy clinic one day.
