Summary

Qualifications are the currency for progression to higher education and the landscape is rapidly evolving. Hosted by Amy Smith, Associate Director, Admissions and Student Recruitment at Nottingham Trent University, this session will bring together qualification regulators Ofqual (Richard Garrett- Director of Policy and Strategic Relationships) and Qualifications Wales (Elaine Carlile- Strategic Engagement Manager) to understand:

  • What are the key changes happening to the qualifications landscape across the UK nations and when?
  • What are the top things admission teams should know about these changes in terms of entry requirements and information, advice, and guidance for prospective students?
  • What changes have taken place since the pandemic?
  • What do you need to know for confirmation and clearing 2025?

The session will include an audience Q&A segment where the audience can engage directly with the speakers, asking for clarification on specific aspects of qualification changes and what that means for admissions.
