UCAS International Conference 2025 – Provider Day

Joy is currently on the Study Risk and Engagement Team, working primarily on the engagement side. They are a forward-facing team who deal with educational sponsors on behalf of UKVI. The team ensures collaboration and strong relationships with multiple sponsors and sector representation groups.

The team create and deliver workshops for the educational sponsors, recent examples are on Document Verification and The Student Journey, explaining the process from start to finish. These workshops are popular with the sector and their purpose is to overall bridge that gap between sponsors and the Home Office. The team’s days our varied and we deal with emergency situations engaging with sponsors to support their students in sensitive situations.

Another part of the team’s role is to gather sector wide feedback and to maintain close working relationships with colleagues internally such as Policy, Document Enrichment, Cancellations Team and external relations such as International visa Outreach Officers.

In the past, Joy has worked on the Premium Customer Service Team within the study department of UKVI and has had previous experience on study case working and correspondence teams.
